     As you are aware, Central Prabhari Officers have been assigned Aspirational Districts by Government of india. A meeting of the Central Prabhari Officers was held on 08/03/2018 under the chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary. The Prabhari Officers have pointed out that the electricity and water bils of schools are presently charged at commercial power rates. An issue was raised whether the electricity and water bills of school buildings could be charged domestic tariff

        2. In view of the fact that schools are non-commercial entities and have limited resources, the matter of electricity & water bills of school buildings to be charged domestic tariff may be taken up with the competent state authorities An action taken report in this regard may kindly be sent to this department immediately
