ORDER

           The State Election Commission had to schedule the Gram Panchayat Elections in the month of January,2019 under compelling circumstances. As a result of this, certaln important statutory events are fallig on holidays such as Bhogi, Sankranthi & Kanuma and also the Rcpublic Day. All the election related officials are required to be on duty during this period, besides the Revenue Divisional Officers/Sub- Collectors are required to discharge emcrgency statutory functions such as receipt of appeals and their dsposal on 15th and 16h January durirg the 2nd phase election These are time bound and critical activites and hence the entire official machinery should be geared up to complete the same scrupulcusly

      Similarly, the Returning ctficers Stage-I are also required to be on duty to attend to important works like scrutiny of nominations, withdrawals and issue of notices & receiving of nominations in 2nd and 3rd phases respectively

    All other election related officers are alsc to be on duty during the cntire period of January including the festival days to enforce MCOC and to attend to other statutory functions.

     Hence, you re requested to instruct the divisional officers and also the other clection rclated officials to remain on duty in the headcuarters so as to attend to the essential activit es of work.
