      All the District Educational Officers and Ex-officio Project Officers of SamagraShiksha in the State are informed that an amount of Rs: S,Boo/- (Five thousand ei[nt hundred rupees only) per school was released to 100 Pre-primary Schools functioffig in the premises of Govt/ZP Schools and a total of Rs:s,B-0,000i- lrive Lakhs Eight|
thousand rupees only) was sanctioned in 2018 - 19.

In this regard all the District Educational Officers and Ex-officio project Officers of Samagra Shiksha in the State are informed that it is very crucial that in developmentally appropriate Early Childhood Education (ECE) p.ogiurr, the presenceof play and learning materials have a very important role. Young ct iiaren learn through play and by interacting with their immediate environment. We can make their environment stimulating by providing a range of developmentally appropriate play and learning materials to encourage inquisitiveness, imagination ind- promote a sound foundation for learning. Availability and accessibility to variety of matirials can support the child's holistic development which includes fhysical and motor skills, .ognitiuu
skills, language and communication skills, socio-emoiional development and .r"Itiuity. Given the importance of play and play materials, ICDS has made a provision of pre-School Education- Kit in Anganwadi centers. The general guideiin., to procure TLM/play material is Annexed.

Therefore, the District Educational Officers and Ex-Officio project Officers of Samagra Shiksha are requested to give instructions to the MEOs concerned to procure the TLM with the help of SMCs where Pre-primary Sections are funitioningimmediately as per guidelines.
