ORDER

    Holidays are most important part of a student's life that gives a student break from the academic stress and gives them an opportunity to relax, refresh and return to school for pursuing further studies with more enthusiasm. That is the basic objective behind scheduling holidays during the academic year. Teachers are expected to use this opportunity for relaxing reading. improving their knowledge/skills, overcoming academic stress, preparing their lesson plans etc Further, as per Rule 9 (iv) & Form IV (4) of G.O.Ms. No.1, Education (P.S 2) Department, Dated:01-01-1994, the school timings, vacations and mid-term holidays shall be as prescribed by Government from time to time. Further, Rule 11 of the said GO states that Permission and / or Recognition, granted under these rules is liable for withdrawal by the competent authority for violation of these rules Further, the Govt, of Andhra Pradesh has passed an Act of 21 of 2019 i.e Andhra Pradesh School Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission Act 2019 to maintain standards of Education, regulation of Fee, Competences of Teachers, effective inspection / monitoring of schools and implementations of provisions of RTE Act, 2009 etc. Further, the commission shall ensure standards of infrastructure, admission, teaching, teacher education, student assessments, examinations, research,and qualifications of teachers are being maintained by the School Education Institutions in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central or the State Govt, from time to time. Further any deviations and violations from the Academic Calendar and instructions / guidelines issued by the higher authorities will be viewed seriously by the commission However, it has come to the notice of undersigned that some of the District Educational Officers are giving permission to conduct special classes to the class Xth students etc.. which is highly irregular and inappropriate. Government will take serious view of such matter (p.to.)
