ORDER:

      Government of India vide letter 2nd read above has informed that the cooking cost for the year 2019-20 has been increased by 3.09% for Primary and Upper Primary classes as indicated below :- UTs without Non-NER States & UTs with Legislature (60:40) Cooking legislature (100%) Himalayan NER cost per States (90:10) Stage child per day Centre Centre Centre State State Rs. 1.79 Rs. 4.03 Rs. 4.48 Rs. 4.48 Primary Rs. 2.69 Rs. 0.45 Upper Primary Rs. 6.71 Rs. 6.04 Rs. 4.03 Rs. 2.68 Rs. 0.67 Rs. 6.71 The Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad, in his letter 3rd read above, has requested the Government to issue orders for enhancement of cooking cost under National Program of Mid Day Meal Scheme for Primary schools from Rs.4.35/- to Rs.4.48/- (excluding egg cost) and for Upper Primary schools from Rs. 6.51/ - to Rs. 6.71/- (exciuding egg cost) and for Classes IX & X from Rs.6.51/- to Rs.6.71/- on par with Upper Primary sections + Rs.2/- (Cost of egg per day) i.e., Rs.8.71/- w.e.f. 01.04.2019. 2. After careful examination of the proposal, Government hereby enhance the 3. Cooking Cost under National Programme of Mid Day Meal Scheme w.e.f. 01.04.2019 as per Government of India norms, as indicated below:- (a) for Primary Schools from Rs.4.35/- to Rs.4.48/- (excluding egg cost) (b) for Upper Primary schools from Rs.6.51/- to Rs.6.71/- (excluding egg cost) and (c) for Classes IX & X from Rs.6.51/- to Rs.6.71/- on par with Upper Primary sections + Rs.2/- (cost of egg per day) on par with Upper Primary sections + Rs.2/- (Cost of egg per day) i.e., Rs.8.71/-. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (EBS.IV) Department vide 4. their U.O.No.3742/86/A1/EBS.IV/SE/2019, dt.23.12.2019.
