     With reference to the subject cited, I am to inform you that the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination for the year 2020-21 is scheduled to be conducted in Telugu/English/Hindi/Urdu Mediums in all Revenue Divisional Head Quarters of all the 33 districts of Telangana. Online Applications are invited. Date of examination will be kept in the office website "http//bse.telangana.gov.in". in due course of time. For online application, online fee payment through SBI collect, due dates and other details visit the same web site. Under this scheme, the students studying VIII Class with parental annual income not more than Rs.1,50,000/- from in 2019-20 with at least 55% or equivalent grade (for SC/STs 5% relaxable) of marks in class VI (due to covid 19 final exams are not conducted for the year 2019-20.Hence marks of previous year class are taken) in Government /Zilla Parishad/Mandal Parishad(local body)/ Municipal/ private aided School, Model schools which have no residential facility is only eligible to write the examination. (The students studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidvalayas, all Residential schools run by the State Government, (institutions where facilities like boarding, lodging and education are provided) and in private schools including Sainik Schools are not eligible to appear for this exam) sources during the academic year 2020-21 by passing VII Class The main objective of the scheme is to award Scholarship to the economically poor meritorious students studying as regular in Government/ Government Aided/ local body Schools to arrest dropouts at Class VIII and to encourage them to continue their studies till class XII.

 Examination

   It comprises two parts, namely (i) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) covering sciences, mathematics and social sciences, of classes VII & VIII. MAT &SAT will have 90 multiple choice questions each and each question will carry one mark, i.e.MAT 90+ SAT 90 = 180 questions and 180 marks. Duration of time is 180 minutes.(one minute for each question).30 minutes extra per each session will be provided for Physically disabled candidates. 

Merit List: 

The minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be 40% and for the SC/ST students this cut off will be 32% to become eligible for the selection and subject to the allocation and availability of district-wise and category-wise quota. State reservation norms will be implemented in selection. Initially eligibility for getting Scholarships will be on the basis of performance in examination. The eligibility for award of scholarship to the selected students will be from class IX and continues till class XII @ Rs.12000/- per annum if the candidate satisfies the eligibility conditions of MHRD (see general guide lines).Students selected for NMMSS should continue their studies in above said category of eligible schools only. Otherwise they forgo their eligibility for scholarship. 

Care for uploading Application Form:

 Heads of the schools should follow all the guide lines and instructions scrupulously. Verify the eligibility conditions as per school records and Guide the eligible students only in proper way in registering the application forms online. Candidate's, mother's and father's names should not exceed 30 characters including space. Spaces have to be given between initials/surname and name. All the particulars shall be recorded as per the Admission Register of the school Furnish Aadhaar Number of candidate, if available, otherwise furnish Enrollment number including date. See whether the name of the candidate in Aadhar and admission register is similar or not. Printed copy of online registered Application form and nominal roll should be certified by the Head Master concerned. The Head Master should satisfy with the documents produced by the
