Revision of Cooking Cost w.e.f. 01.04.2020 G.O.Rt.No. 75 Dated: 29-08-2020 

Read the following:- 

1. G.O.Rt.No.8, School Education (Prog. I1) Dept, dated 28.01.2020. 

2. From the Director(MDM), Govt.of India, MHRD, Dept of School Education & Literacy (MDM Division), ShastriBhavan, New Delhi, F.No.1-2/2018-Desk (MDM), dated 14.04.2020. 

3. From the Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad, 30.07.2020 Lr.Rc.No. 01/MDM/2020, dated 12.05.2020 & 

ORDER:-

 Government of India vide letter 2nd read above increased cooking cost @ 10.99% over and above the existing cooking cost during 2020-21 for Primary and Upper Primary classes under National Programme of Mid Day Meal in Schools (NP-MDMS), as indicated below :- Non-NER States & UTs with Legislature (Except ) & K) (60:40) NER states, UT with legislature (J&K) and 2 Himalayan States (90:10) UTs without Revised Cooking cost per child per day legislature (100%) Stage Centre State Centre State Centre Rs. 4.47 Rs. 0.50 Rs. 6.70 Rs. 0.75 Primary Rs. 4.97 Rs. 2.98 Rs. 1.99 Rs. 4.97 Upper Primary Rs. 7.45 Rs. 4.47 Rs. 2.98 Rs. 7.45 In the reference 3 read above, the Commissioner of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad requested the Government to issue orders for enhancement of cooking cost under National Programme of Mid Day Meal for Primary schools from Rs.4.48/- to Rs.4.97/- (excluding egg cost) and for Upper Primary schools from Rs. 6.71/- to Rs. 7.45/- (excluding egg cost) and for Classes IX & X from Rs.6.71/- to Rs.7.45/- on par with Upper Primary sections + Rs.2/- (Cost of egg per day) w.e.f. 01.04.2020, as per Govt. of India norms.

 2. After careful examination of the proposal, Government hereby enhance 3. the Cooking Cost under National Programme of Mid Day Meal w.e.f. 01.04.2020 as per Government of India norms, as indicated below:- (a) for Primary Schools from Rs.4.48/- to Rs.4.97/- (excluding egg cost) (b) for Upper Primary schools from Rs.6.71/- to Rs.7.45/- (excluding egg cost) and (c) for Classes IX & X from Rs.6.71/- to Rs.7.45/- on par with Upper Primary sections + Rs.2/- (cost of egg per day). 4. Department 06.07.2020. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (EBS.IV) dt. vide their U.O.No.2966-F/54/A1/EB.IV/S.E/2020,
