English Grammar: Prepositions , Types of prepositions Brief Description in Telugu with Examples

PREPOSITIONS విభక్తి ప్రత్యయం

ఒక విషయాన్ని మరొకదానితో అనుసంధానించే పదం, అవి ఎలా సంబంధం కలిగి ఉన్నాయో చూపిస్తుంది.

 ప్రిపోజిషన్‌లు సమయం, స్థానం లేదా ప్రదేశం గురించి తెలియజేస్తాయి.

ex‘in,’ ‘at,’ ‘on,’ ‘of,’ ‘to,’ ‘from.’

 ఒక నామవాచకము , నామవాచక పదసముదాయం లేక నామవాచక ఉపవాక్యాల ముందు విభక్తి ప్రత్యయం ( preposition ) ఉంచబడుతుంది .

Eg . i ) She is fond of sweets

 ii ) He jumped into the river . 

 

1 ) Simple Prepositions As, on మొదలగు చిన్న చిన్న మాటలను simple prepositions అందురు . 

వానిలో ముఖ్యమైనవి : at ( వద్ద ) , to ( కు , కి ) , till ( వరకు ) , by ( ప్రక్కన , వలన ) , from ( నుండి ) , in ( లో , లోపల ) , into ( లోపలికి , లోనికి ) , with ( తో ) down ( క్రింద ) , of ( యొక్క ) , near ( దగ్గర ) , off ( ఎడముగా ) , on మీద ) , over పైన ) , upon ( మీద ) , out ( బయట , అవతల ) , through ( గుండా ) , under ( క్రింద , దిగువ ) .

 2 ) Compound Prepositions ఒక noun కు గాని , ఒక adjective కు గాని ముందు ( = on ) గాని ( = by ) గాని , in ( లో ) చేర్చుటచే ఏర్పడు prepositions కు Compound prepositions అని పేరు . రెండు వేర్వేరు పదాలను జంటగా కలిపి వాడేవి.

 

 Eg : About ( గురించి , సుమారు ) , across ( అడ్డముగా ) , above ( పైన ) , along ( వెంట , వెంబడి ) , amidst ( మధ్య , నడుమ ) , among ( వారిలో , వానిలో ) , amongst ( మధ్య , నడుములో ) , around ( చుట్టును ) , before ( ముందు , ముందర , ఎదుట ) , behind ( వెనుక ) , below ( వెనుక ) , beneath ( క్రింద , అడుగున , దిగువన ) , beside ( ప్రక్కన ) , between ( మధ్య ) , beyond ( అవతల ) , inside ( లోపల ) , outside ( వెలుపల , బయట ) , underneath ( అడుగున ) within ( లోపల , లో ) without ( లేకుండా ) . 

 

3 ) Phrase Prepositions రెండుగాని , రెండు కంటే ఎక్కువ మాటలు కలిపి ఒక preposition చేయు పనిని చేసిన ఆ మాటల సముదాయమునకు phrase prepositions లేక prepositional phrases అని పేరు

 . Eg : 1 ) along with 2 ) away from , 3 ) because of , 3 ) by virtue of , 5 ) in addition to , 6 ) in course of 7 ) in front of , 8 ) with regard to . 

 

4 ) Participle Prepositions : Considering , pending , regarding , touching మొదలగు కొన్ని present participles , prepositions వలె పనిచేసినప్పుడు వానిని participle prepositions అందురు ... 

5 ) Appropriate Prepositions : కొన్ని verbs , nouns , adjectives తరువాత prepositions తప్పక వచ్చును . 

Ex:- What are you talking about ?

కొన్ని నియమాలు:

1. Appropriate Prepositions కాకుండా మిగతా అన్ని సందర్భాల్లో Prepositions లు object లకు ముందు వస్తాయి.

 

2. Stree, emphasis, discuss, investigate, comprise, accompany , consider, violate, demand, resemble, pervade, precede, succeed, reach resign, attack, invade, resist, enter, flee, eschew, befall, order, Direct, join, sign, affect, ensure, board వీటి వెనుకాల Prepositions లను వాడకూడదు.

Ex- The police are investigating the case

3. Object ముందు ఉన్న verb of కమ్యూనికేషన్ తో ఉంటే to వాడకూడదు

I advised him to go 

I advised to him to go (wrong)

4. పరోక్ష కర్మ లు ముందు Prepositions లను వాడకూడదు.

I shall find Raju a nice job

1. At:

కచ్చితమైన సమయం, స్థలం ల ముందు, ఒకటవ, రెండవ లాంటివి ముందు, ఏ పనిలో ఉన్నాడో అనే ముందు, పండగ రోజు ముందు, గ్రామాల ముందు, పట్టణాల ముందు, నిర్దిష్ట విషయానికి ముందు

He lives at Gandhinagar in Hyderabad

2. In

నెలలు, సంవత్సరాల ముందు, నగరాల ముందు, దేశంలో, రాష్ట్రంలో అన్నప్పుడు, సమయంలో అన్నప్పుడు

I'm living in Hyderabad

3. Between, Among

రెంటి మధ్య చెప్పినప్పుడు Between వాడాలి

Devide this cake between the two boys

రెండు కంటే ఎక్కువ అయితే Among వాడాలి

He was standing among the people

4. Beside, Besides

Beside అంటే పక్కన

Besides అంటే కాకుండా అని అర్థం

He sat beside me

I have 3 other shirts besides this

నాకు ఇవి కాకుండా ఇంకా 3 షర్ట్స్ ఉన్నాయి

5. From, Since, for

అప్పటి నుంచి ఇప్పటి వరకూ అనే సందర్భం లో since వాడాలి. అప్పటి నుండి అనే సందర్భం లో from వాడాలి. అసంపూర్ణ వర్తమానం for వాడాలి

I have not seen him since last month

He worked from morning to evening

I have not seen for five days

6. Before, ago

భవిష్యత్ కాలంలో సమయానికి before, గత కాలానికి ago వాడాలి

The sun will rise before 7o clock

He lived here long ago

7. On, upon

కదలకుండ ఉన్న వస్తువుల గురించి On, కదిలే వస్తువుల గురించి upon ను వాడాలి

He sat on a chair

He threw the book upon the table
