ORDER:

The following notification shall be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Telangana Gazette.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 read with article 313 of the Constitution of India and all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Telangana, in supersession of the existing the Telangana Government Life Insurance Fund Rules as amended from time to time, hereby, makes the following Telangana Government Life Insurance Fund Rules:-

RULES

1. (a) These rules may be called the Telangana Government Life Insurance (TGLI) Fund Rules, 2024.

(b) These rules shall come into force with immediate effect.

2. No new subscribers will be admitted to the old Family Pension Fund and no fresh applications will be entertained for insurance under the rules published in connection with the Family pension Fund on and from the date of issue of G.O.Ms.No. 189, Finance (PC) Department, dated 30.07.1974.

3. All contracts under Table H1 and H2 of the old Family Pension Fund which may have been entered into before the 1st Insfandar 1322 F shall continue to be in force before and the Telangana State Government shall be liable in respect of all lawful claims arising there from.

(a) The term "FUND" means Telangana Government Life Insurance Fund.

(b) The term "PROPONENT" means the person whose life is proposed to be insured.

(c) The term "INSURED" means the person who has insured his life under

these rules.

(d) The term "POLICY" means the document containing the contract for the

payment under these rules of an assured sum in consideration of the

premium paid by the insured.

(e) The term "PAY" means monthly substantive pay.

(f) The term "MEDICAL OFFICER" of the Fund means a Civil Surgeon or an

Assistant Civil Surgeon, qualified to conduct the medical examination of

proponents for insurance in accordance with the rules of the Fund.
