All the District Collectors in the State are informed that the Government is committed to quality education and lot of reforms being brought in. As per the latest UDISE+ data, it is observed that the enrolment in Government Schools is dropping year on year. On analyzing the data and field information, one of the reasons found out to be irrational allocation of teachers in the schools. State level teacher to student ratio is 1:17, which appears to be far better compared to the minimum requirement of 1:30 under RTE Act.
However, the school wise data shows analogies in number of teachers against the children enrolment. In some schools, teachers out beat no of children studying. In some other schools, required number of teachers are not working as compared with the children enrolment number. This requires to be addressed immediately in order to bring in quality education right from primary level to high school level. In this regard, suggestive guidelines are issued hereunder for making adjustments without causing much dislocation while considering the teachers to be adjusted from surplus schools to needy schools. District Collectors may also take local decision in adjusting any particular teacher from one school to another school apart from these suggestive guidelines with the proper reasons recorded.
The following tables show minimum no of Teachers required in schools as pe enrolment.
