I invite attention to the reference cited, wherein the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana has informed that the Election Commission of India has announced the Scheduled for conduct of Biennial Elections to the Telangana Legislative Council from Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates' & Teachers' Constituency and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers' Constituencies to be held on 27-02-2025 (Thursday) from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Further informed that

) State & Central Government Employees of all offices instructions/orders a

have been issued for grant of Special Casual Leave on the day of poll to the Central and State Government employees, who are Bonafide voters in the elections to State legislative Councils and requested all Officers (both Central and State Government) in of the Districts to enable them to grant Special Casual Leave on the day of poll (i.e. 27-02-2025) to their employees who are Bonafide voters in the said constituency.

b) Employees of Private Establishment:

i) There is no provision under RP Act, 1951 to declare a general holiday under Negotiable Instrument Act for the elections to the State Legislative councils.

ii) All the Private Managements / authorities of business, trade, industrial undertakings or other establishments, which work on 27.02.2025 in the State of Telangana were requested to grant necessary facilities to their employees /workers, who are registered voters in the above said Graduates' and Teachers' Constituencies, such as permission to attend office / duty late;

adjustments of shifts; short absence of duty hours or otherwise so as to enable them to exercise their right of franchise on the day of poll i.e., on 27.02.2025 (Thursday) between 8:00 A.M. to 4:00P.M.

Hence, the copy of the reference along with enclosures are sent herewith and requested to take necessary action to communicate to all the subordinate offices under your control and connected private Managements / authorities of business, trade, industrial undertakings or other establishments for taking necessary action.
